Arrive to Brasov Ghimbav Airport and transfer to your hotel for 2 nights. After settling in, visit the stunning historic old town of Brasov for an evening meal and a wander though the Old Town.

Stay: Hotel Bielman

Travel to the lake complex, just a short drive from Brasov and enjoy a day's relaxed birdwatching. Aided by an expert guide, you’ll explore the mixed reedbed and sedge habitat and encounter a wide variety of water birds, migratory warblers and other Passerines including, Little Crake, Squacco, Night and Purple Heron. Great Reed, Sedge and Marsh Warbler, Pendilune tit along with a number of tern species (plus many others).

Day 3: Rotbav lakes and broadleaf forest.

You’ll spend the morning at Rotbav lakes which offer a similar species mix to those on day 1, followed by a trip to some nearby woodland where a number of owl & woodpecker species are being monitored by The University of Transylvania. 

Transfer to Magura.

Stay: Vila Hermani (or similar)

Day 4: Mountains - Magura.

Experience the Piatra Craiului National Park in Magura and the wonderful Villa Hermani where you’ll be able to delight in the stunning alpine meadows, mountain scenery and delicious traditional recipes . You’ll spend the next day and half exploring the vicinity enjoying birds, butterflies and flowers. 

Optional Bear Watching from a hide.

After a full breakfast, enjoy the morning with either a short walk or transfer to Pestera to visit a bat cave. Several colonies of bats live here some which are rare.

Transfer back to Brasov airport for your flight home.
