Arrive Ghimbav Airport, Brasov and transfer to the mountain village of Magura and our accommodation for the next 2 nights. At supper and welcome drink you will have a chance to meet the team and have an introduction to the week's activities. Supper Hotel: Hermani (or similar) Those joining from other airports may join the group for the evening meal.

After a delicious buffet breakfast we will pack a lunch and go through the picturesque mountain village to our starting point. The La Table walk follows forest tracks and footpaths with panoramic views. We will stop for a picnic lunch along the way by a spring in the woods. We continue across meadows and through a wooded river valley to reach a stunning gorge. After another hour we reach Prapestile Zarnestiului where the Landrover will be waiting for us. In the early evening there is an optional trips to see the impressive European Brown Bears in the wild from the safety of a hide. (additional cost)

Walk through village and follow undulating footpath for about an hour to arrive at the bat cave. There will be a chance to hear and see the bats. After about another hour through woodland we will be picked up in the village of Pestera. Transfer to Sighisoara where we will stay for 2 nights.

Hotel: The Throne, Sighișoara Citadel.

Visit the stunning fortified church in Biertan then walk through lush fields and woods to the traditional settlement of Copsa Mare for lunch. Option of return walk to Biertan with horse and cart ride, depending on the time of year. Transfer to the picturesque Sighisoara Citadel. After checking in to our hotel there will be an opportunity of a guided tour of the Citadel. Supper in a cellar bar. Hotel: Boutique Hotel Von Graf.

45 minute drive to the unspoilt village of Viscri, home to King Charles’ renovated village house. There we will walk through pastures and woodland, passing traditional shepherd compounds to Mesendorf where we will have a delicious lunch cooked from locally sourced ingredients. We return to Viscri for a short visit to the well preserved fortified church which has a fascinating history. 1 hr 30 mins transfer to Brasov. Settle into Hotel. After supper there will be a chance for an evening stroll around the Historic Town. Hotel: Casa Chitic.

You will enjoy a more relaxed day with ample time to explore the Historic Saxon Town with a guided tour and the option of a short walk. You can select your own restaurant for lunch before transferring to Q Chalet in Sacele for supper and a two night stay.

Transfer to the Cuicas mountains. After a 40 minute transfer the final 20 minute section is an off-road track which brings us to the Cabana. We will walk through the dramatic rocky landscape to the summit at 2,000m with 360 degree panoramic views. [Easier option available] We follow a long scenic descent along the ridge to Pasul Bratocea where we will be met by the landrovers. Then return to Q Chatel for the final night and BBQ.

Transport will be available after breakfast to transfer to Brasov Ghimbav. Other transport options available with prior arrangment.
